I have dry mouth due to medications I take. Biotene was recommended by my physician and dentist. However, it has been difficult to find. Seems everyone who carries it has been out of it. I finally found it at CVS online. I ordered three to have on hand. The bottle size is convenient to carry in my purse. Don't go back!
After reading all of the negative reviews for Biotene mouth spray, I wanted to express my opinion for your great products. I love the change in the toothpaste! The original formula was so thin and watery that I felt like I wasn't using any toothpaste. The new formula is so much better...thicker and foamier. Also, I haven't noticed any difference in the mouth spray...it works great, and the mouthwash is also fabulous. I agree that the prices are high, and I am also a senior on a fixed income. To save on the price, I always buy Biotene at CVS when it's on sale-2 for the price of 1-and use my CVS card to earn bonus bucks. That's how I save on the price and have never paid full price! I've used this product for years. They recently changed the formula and took out the enzymes and replaced them with different ingredients. The taste is harsh and the product no longer works the same way. The new label says "soothing moisturization". The old label says with "protein enzyme system". This spray by Biotène is excellent for any time of the day, and exceptionally good at keeping the back of my throat and mouth moist throughout the night. I also use the mouth gel by Biotène (especially when it's not convenient to spray). Their gum is "ok" -- it's moistening ability doesn't last very long, but good for emergencies. Biotène toothpaste & mouth wash are also good. But nothing beats the spray & gel. CVS has a dry mouth spray also, and it's very different. CVS's spray covers a wider area in my mouth whereas Biotène is "spot on." CVS is "watery"; Biotène stays potent much longer. CVS is less expensive, so I use it sometimes. But Biotène is my favorite!
