I saw the ad for this online one day, and I immediately decided to try it the next time I was in a store that carried Burt's Bees cosmetics. I'm so glad I've tried it! Definitely has that nice, deep matte red that I'm obsessed with. It goes on so smoothly, and unlike a lot of other matte lipsticks and lip crayons I've used, it doesn't leave my lips feeling dry. The color payoff is great, and it lasts forever, even through eating (provided you aren't eating something overly oily). Plus, even as it rubs off, it leaves a stain on your lips, and it gives your lips this bitten sort of flushed look which I think is great.
