For years my nails have broken off, split, bent back easily and ridges appeared. Actually this began a few years into menopause which began at 48 years of age. I decided to try Biotin because I really did not like the ridges and the ridges seemed to exacerbate the splitting. After one month of taking 1000mcg once a day I find my nails much stronger!! I am 70 years old and still trying to improve my health and looks. My ridges are still present but my Dr. said it may take a few months to reduce the ridges. Patience is the key. I may have to increase the mcg level in the future. At this time I prefer to take it slowly and make sure I can tolerate the Biotin with any other meds that I am taking.0 users found this review helpful.
