I, too, discovered that what is in the handle is no more than an ordinary AAA, which quits at least a month before the brush itself wears out. I found that wadding a few bits of wine cork into the end of the handle gets the contact between the + terminal and the silver contact made, In my case, the contact has to be broken by unscrewing the end 1/4 turn. At least I don't have to put the plastic into the waste stream prematurely.0 users found this review helpful.
