Liquid Deodorant

How to get it

Liquid Deodorant

Address your body odor and feel more confident throughout the day by using liquid deodorant. Whether you have sensitive skin or require a stronger formula, CVS has multiple options to choose from.

What Is Liquid Deodorant?

Liquid deodorant is a type of deodorant, available as a spray or roll-on, that goes on wet and dries after a few seconds. On its own, the best liquid deodorant is designed to mask body odor. When combined with an antiperspirant, it helps stop the growth of bacteria from sweat on the skin. In addition to the active ingredients, liquid deodorant may also contain fragrances and nourishing ingredients that act as a moisturizer to help prevent drying and itching.

How to Apply Liquid Deodorant

Deodorant works best when applied to clean, dry skin, so begin by shaving with your preferred razor, then shower and towel dry. For liquid deodorant spray, shake the can a few times to ensure the ingredients are properly mixed, then spray the desired area. Apply roll-on deodorant directly to the skin, using two to three strokes. Apply the deodorant anywhere you experience excessive sweating or odor. This includes under the arms and along the groin and on the chest. In areas with hair, apply more pressure to ensure you’re reaching your skin.

Allow several minutes for the liquid to completely dry before dressing. This gives the deodorant time to set and helps prevent clothing stains. Complete your routine by following with a body spray or your favorite perfume or cologne. Deodorant may be applied several times throughout the day as needed.

How To Get Liquid Deodorant Out of Clothes

Sweat has no color on its own, but when it reacts with the main chemicals in deodorant, especially aluminum, it can leave yellow stains on clothing. Some deodorants are labeled as hypoallergenic or chemical-free and won’t cause staining. For those that do, it can be challenging to remove the armpit discoloration, but effective treatments are available.

For light-colored clothing, mix equal parts of baking soda and peroxide with water, and rub gently into the stains. Wash the clothing with an enzyme-based detergent, such as Oxi-Clean.

Baking soda and powders in other deodorants can cause white stains on dark clothing. Remove these stains by applying a small amount of dish detergent to the area, and rub gently before washing.
